Reverse Osmosis is a proven technology typically using thin film composite (TFC) membranes that remove up to 99% of all dissolved ions and most organic compounds such as pyrogens, bacteria and viruses. When an RO unit is used in conjunction with a DI System, the number of DI tank exchanges is reduced dramatically---therefore becoming a very economical advantage.
When deciding between using a DI water system only or a RO/DI water system, remember this key number: 3000 gallons per month. If your high purity water usage exceeds this number, it will be more economical for you to utilize a reverse osmosis and deionization system.

It is almost a guarantee that over time, Biofilm will form in high purity water systems and distribution loops. These contaminants shed microorganisms, which contribute to particulate, bacteria, and total organic carbon levels.
Therefore, it is very important to sanitize and disinfect your high purity water systems and piping loops on a REGULAR BASIS!
When sanitizing/disinfecting a customer’s high purity water system we use Minncare® Cold Sterilant which is manufactured by Minntech Corporation a world leader in the Sterilant and Disinfectant industry.
